Galaxy ZEGA – Battle Tanks Controlled by Your Smart Phone

Are you having a hard time trying to figure out what to buy for your child? Boys especially can be so hard to buy for around the ages of 8 through teen years when they are getting out of the “typical little boy” type of toys. Although younger children could definitely play with the Galaxy ZEGA, they are perfect for those hard to buy for ages! Combining technology, remote controls, battles, racing, and tanks, makes it fit a great variety of ages (even adults have fun with them).

Setting Up Your Galaxy ZEGA

First of all, when I opened the box I thought it was going to take a long time to set it all up. I was wrong! It was SO simple to set up. The track is magnetic so the pieces just draw together as soon as you lay them down. The sides snap in and out easily, as well, to make rearranging the track quick and easy! The app can be downloaded on any smart device.

How to Play

There are different types of game modes. With Galaxy ZEGA, you can choose survival mode or flag mode with many different types of battlefields and strategies. Also, there are 30 different skills that you can choose between to strategize beating your opponent. Creativity and strategy are used to decide which skills are best to make you WIN!

While using your smart phone or tablet as a remote for your tank, you can go forward, backward or spin around completely to quickly get away from your opponent or get closer to attack them!

X-Bases

Re-chargeable X-bases can be added to the track. These things are AWESOME! We played with and without the X-Bases. It adds SO much more excitement to the game! If you ride over them with your tank while they are lit up, you can collect additional weapons, lives, etc. During flag mode, it is used as a battle base. Don’t forget to buy these! You won’t regret it!

My Thoughts

OK, so I probably shouldn’t admit this BUT my husband and I set this all up and wound up playing for close to an hour. WITHOUT KIDS! Aside from my kids loving it, my husband and I have had so much fun playing with the Galaxy ZEGA! It is easy to operate, yet you can make it as challenging as you wish. This toy is honestly great for ALL ages, kids and the big kids at heart!
