Have you ever fallen asleep on a bean bag? When my oldest son was a toddler he loved to sleep on his bedroom bean bag. While watching him we used to tease that someone should make a bean bag for babies, AND here they are sixteen years later! Chibebe has perfected the baby bean bag in ways we never imagined. These fabulous seats look great, have safety straps, are machine washable, and completely custom — you even choose the amount of beans that go into them! How awesome are these? (see photo below)
When my Chibebe arrived I was rather confused. I actually received my beans first, on a separate day even, and then my Chibebe Snuggle Pod Baby Bean Bag (Hoot with Cream Seat) arrived. It’s important to know that when you order your Snuggle Pod, you will need to order your beans separately. This will give you the opportunity to fill your pod to your liking.
Tip: The younger your baby, the more beans you will use. As your child ages, you can remove beans to meet your usual bean bag comfort level. The Snuggle Pod easily unzips to make these adjustments whenever you’re ready.
Putting our Snuggle Pod together took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. My husband filled the inner bag and I inserted the finished bean bag into the owl cover, and zipped on the baby seat (with harness). The seat and harness straps are very soft and feel good against your skin. I believe they will be extra gentle on baby also because there is a slight plush padding.
I love these owls! Aren’t they adorable?
The owl fabric feels much like canvas and appears to be easy to clean with a damp cloth between machine washings. I was really surprised with how pretty each owl is, and the softness of the colors. I find them to be very pleasing to the eye.

I feel like Chibebe thought of everything when they designed the snuggle pod. The fact that they are versatile and can grow with baby is very appealing. AND Machine Washable! I love that they designed the pods to have covers that are machine washable. This means we will have no problem keeping our pod in great shape for years to come.
