In recent years, Duct Tape has been brought to the non-construction type people as a different way to make fun projects. There are so many patterns and colors today when there used to be just gray. Duct Tape Bags by Richela Fabian Morgan walks you through 40 projects that you can make out of Duct Tape.
Duct Tape (originally named Duck Tape) was invented for the military by Johnson & Johnson. During World War II, the military was in need of a waterproof tape to keep moisture out of ammunition cases. It only came in green, not gray or silver that we have known.
Moving on…Duct Tape has more than 1000 idea boards on a popular social media website. Crafts are what’s popular and this book shows you step-by-step how to make lots of different bags including totes, purses, clutches, and messenger bags.
I went out and bought lots of duct tape when I received this book. I didn’t even have to buy the expensive name brand tape. Our local dollar store has rolls for only $1. Granted, the rolls are not as large, but they are just as cute!
Now that I have everything I need…which is this book and Duct Tape, I’m ready to start making fun bags that I know are unique.
