The Litter-Robot is an automatic self-cleaning litter box. Its patented sifting system automatically separates waste from clean litter, so you never have to scoop litter again!

Designed for cats 5 lbs or more, the Litter-Robot Open Air  has an ingenious design that actually works. If you have ever scooped cat litter, especially with multiple cats, the task can be daunting.  I am thrilled to say that those days of scooping are over at my house!

We have been through several litter boxes trying to find one that is just right.  Before our adorable dog came along, the cats ruled and the litter box was placed in the laundry room.  Since our new addition, the laundry room has become his room at night; therefore, the litter box has been moved to the hall closet. Don’t judge me! It’s hard to make everyone happy! 😉 Placed in the closet, the litter box smell was an issue not to mention the granular mess left to deal with every day!

I bet you’re wondering, “How on earth am I going to get my cat to use that!”  It’s easy. Just scoop 1-2 cups of “used litter” from the previous litter box. The scent draws them in. They just can’t help themselves!

Litter-Robot Open Air  has truly saved the day. This “smart” litter box self-cleans after each use, dumping the litter into a waste drawer below. There is a step mat that catches the litter as cats step out of the unit eliminating the granular mess I mentioned before. Clean up is easy. The Litter-Robot is equipped with infrared emitters and sensors located above the waste drawer that detects when the drawer is full. The Control Panel displays a blue flashing LED light that indicates when it is time to empty the drawer. To empty, simply open the waste drawer and pull out the liner to discard.
