5 Practical Tips for Moms Balancing Kids, Work, and School

October 27, 2016 by Pam Maynard

Finance is a wide topic covering public, private, and corporate finance matters. Studying finance means understanding financial administration, investigation, creation of wealth, credit management ventures, mergers, assets, liabilities, cash and liquidity management, etc. takes a lot of time and effort. As a busy working mom studying finance, the pressure and workload is more than double.

To succeed in all fronts, here are some guiding tips for moms:

  1. Put into practice all known time saving ideas

As a working and a studying mom, you do not have any time in your hands. To make everything work, you should comb through your schedule and identify all extra minutes that can be utilized. These ideas include:

  • Using public transport instead of driving
  • Cooking meals over the weekend and freezing.
  • Look out for memorizing techniques
  • Hire cleaning services weekly, if you can afford it
  • Teach your kids to help in the house
  • Brain memorizing skills
  1. Keep your energy high

You won’t get anything done if you are emotionally and physically drained. Keep your energy high and maximize the mommy brain powers by eating brain-friendly foods, eating breakfast, getting enough sleep, workout a little, take care of yourself (hair/ skin), and enjoy reading. These will keep you on top of things and you will be able to handle all your finance assignments.

  1. Take advantage of helpful studying services in and out of school

You will certainly go home with various finance assignments at the end of the day. You may be unable to handle some because of their degrees of difficulties and in other cases, you won’t have time to submit assignments in time.

But, you shouldn’t fret! You can get all your finance homework help from renowned online platforms that specialize in providing extensive finance help in all finance topics within the stipulated time. You must check reviews and ask for recommendations of the best online homework help. Your tutors, lecturers, fellow students, and the library are great alternatives to keep you on top of your assignments.

  1. Create a calendar

As a working and a studying mom, you will need all the support possible from your family. To do this, create a family calendar. In the calendar, schedule appointments, date nights, grocery shopping, cleaning days, work schedules, school timetables, exams (yours and your kids), and family days or nights.

These can be easily synchronized into an app like Google or the Outlook calendars ensuring that everything is taken care of. Ensure that all your family members access the calendar, and set reminders for all tasks.

  1. It’s allowed to mix work and school

Taking a finance course means that you are already taking up a finance career or something closely related. You can use your work examples as examples for your coursework, and other times, use school examples at work. The two are interdependent and your work could get easier and school work completed in time.

In conclusion, working, studying, and managing a family is difficult. However, you should be determined to achieve your goals. The degree could go a long way in securing a new job and earning more, making your life easier. Your efforts will finally pay off and all you will have to do is plan better, be organized, set realistic goals, and take a break when you need to.
