Britax Baby Carrier Review

October 14, 2012 by Pam Maynard

The Britax Baby Carrier Organic- Comfort for You and Baby!

The BRITAX BABY CARRIER ORGANIC, made with 100% organic cotton fabric, has been designed to provide the highest level of long-wearing comfort for both you and your growing baby. The BRITAX BABY CARRIER ORGANIC features the CarryLong System, which reduces the risk of back and shoulder strain during extended wear by distributing weight across the shoulders, back and hips.

Not only does the BRITAX BABY CARRIER ORGANIC offer superior levels of comfort, but it is versatile as well. The ergonomic carrier allows you to face your baby inward towards you or outward to face the world, and accommodates infants from eight pounds to toddlers up to 32 pounds. To learn more about the carrying positions offered by the BRITAX BABY CARRIER ORGANIC, visit the Baby Carrying Positions page.

My Review:

Oh how I wish Britax made this carrier when my son was little.  The CarryLong System is a dream come true for moms with chronic back pain.  The comfy, padded waist belt and shoulder straps are designed to carry baby longer without additional stress on your back.  I was hoping someone would come up with a carrier that wouldn’t leave you feeling crippled when you took it off.  I loved carrying my son around in his carrier, but I had to stop when he was about 18 pounds because it was too much stress on my back.

Here are the recommended positions for baby:

  • Inward-facing with Removable Infant Insert for small babies from eight to 14 pounds
  • Inward-facing without an insert for babies over 14 pounds
  • Inward-facing with splayed legs using the Seat Extender Insert for babies over 14 pounds
  • Outward-facing without an insert for babies over 14 pounds who have head and neck control
I also love that the fabric on the carrier is 100% organic cotton.  It is so easy to go green these days.  The cotton is super soft and will feel great against baby’s soft skin.   The carrier also comes with the seat options for infant and for different positions for babies by using the Seat Extender Insert.  I love how adaptable and versatile this carrier is!
I highly recommend this Britax Baby Carrier for anyone needing to carry their precious new bundle of job!
