With all of the Princess movies out of the vault right now princess are everywhere! My little girl has been watching her Beauty and the Beast and Snow White on digital demand everyday for weeks. Thanks to her love of these classic movies, she, naturally, wants to dress up as a princess for Halloween this year. My only problem with her request is I don’t like the costumes that are available in our local stores. They are made from materials that are uncomfortable, not durable, and not something I want to invest in. Because — let’s be honest — what little girl wants to wear her princess Halloween costume only once? None! They want to wear it over and over again! This is why I think it is important for parents to really look at the costumes they are selecting for their young children. Because, pretend play doesn’t start and end on Halloween night!
Look away from your local department and Halloween-specific stores to find costumes for your daughter this year. Doing so will allow you to find an outfit that can be worn for as long, and as often, as your little girl wishes.
