Clean Teeth, Fresh Breath with the Dr. Sharp Natural Dental Products #Review #ChristmasMDR16

Replace Harmful Chemical Packed Toothpaste with Dr. Sharp All-Natural Dental Products

Stinky breath and visual food caked on the teeth is one sure way to make someone take a step back during face-to-face conversations. I have always been overly paranoid when it comes to bad breath and dirty looking teeth. No one wants that reputation. Grabbing a tube of toothpaste from the store, scrubbing my teeth multiple times a day is easy and it takes care of the job; however, is it really the best for me?

After doing some research on well known, store bought dental products versus all natural products. I was shocked, to say the least. I have dealt with canker sores and sensitive gums for years. To find a toothpaste that my mouth would tolerate, I have switched toothpaste many times.  What I did not do was look into the purpose of and types of ingredients found in those products nor did I research the harm those ingredients have on my health now and in the future.

Here is what I found out…

While fluoride can fight cavities, in high doses, fluoride is toxic. You may say, “You are crazy, that doesn’t matter because I am not taking large doses of fluoride!”. Well, think about this. How many times do you brush your teeth every day? I know I do at least twice. That means I am putting fluoride in my mouth at least 730 times a year. Plus, most all water treatment facilities now add fluoride to their water as well. That is a lot of fluoride in my mouth every day! Did you know that too much fluoride can actually cause decayed teeth and mouth cancer? Most fluoride is added with the ingredient, fluorosilicic acid, which is basically formed from the pollution caught from phosphate fertilizer industries. YIKES! I do not think I want THAT in my mouth.

Studies have shown that although fluoride may benefit the teeth, it can cause serious health risks including different kind of cancers and even lowering children’s IQ. When something that is made for inside the mouth has a “call poison control immediately if ingested” warning on it, that should make you think twice about allowing especially your children to use.

Another ingredient that is normally added to your toothpaste is SLS or Sodium Laurel Sulfate. This is a type of detergent you will find in a lot of shampoos that allow the toothpaste to foam. Did you know that this foaming ingredient can be the cause of a lot of canker sores? No, thank you!

Formulated inside regular toothpaste, creating a sweeter taste to your mouthwash and toothpaste is the artificial sweetener, saccharin. It is rarely used anymore as a sweetener in foods after a study was done with lab rats proving that saccharin causes kidney cancer yet it is still being used by most popular toothpaste brands.

Dr. Sharp Dentistry Products

Dr. Sharp Dentistry has created a line of toothpaste for adult and children as well as mouthwash and floss that is non-GMO, free of fluoride, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), gluten and alcohol. None of these products have been tested on animals.

I was a little unsure if I would be able to handle the all-natural flavors due to the fact that a lot of times they seem to have a nasty taste to them as well as an unpleasant after-taste. Hoping for the best, I put the toothpaste covered toothbrush in my mouth and started to brush. It tasted great. I continued to brush and waited for an after taste. Nothing except a pleasant surprise when all I found was a minty fresh flavor left in my clean mouth! Cleans my teeth, leaves my breath smelling great AND is chemical free! Sounds like a winner to me!

Why would you fill your mouth with harmful chemicals when all natural toothpaste is available? I know what my answers were before researching toothpaste. I would have said that I did not feel natural toothpaste can clean the teeth as well, they might not taste as good, my breath needs something stronger and all natural brands are just too expensive. After all the research I have done, I have realized that you do not need all the chemicals to clean your teeth. Scrubbing with just water does a lot for your teeth.

Although you still have bacteria inside your mouth that is the culprit to causing both gingivitis and bad breath. Peppermint and spearmint oils are a great natural solution for eliminating the bacteria growing inside the mouth while still leaving a fresh smell to your breath.

Why deal anymore with irritating canker sores and all the health risks to worry about in the future? I know my family will be using Dr. Sharp’s toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss. How about you and your family?
