Now that both of my children are in school, reading each night has become a huge, and perhaps even more important, part of our life. There are so many fun books out there that will keep a child’s attention. In addition to making them fun, why not add something meaningful that will be a special keepsake for years to come.

My Review/Thoughts:
As a mom who has always encouraged reading and learning, especially in a fun way, this is an awesome way to incorporate that. With a book that features a special, heartfelt message in the beginning just for your child (from you!) and their name spelled out along the way within the book, it is sure to capture their attention with every turn of the page. The fact that it’s a customized gift with so much meaning was enough to draw me in. Of course, you have to take into account the quality of a product, too. The pages were durable for when little ones want to grab and turn them, along with being colorful and adorable. That heartfelt message you choose to include? Equally amazing! The imaginative story incorporating their name and capturing their attention is just the icing on the cake.
The only thing I wish could be different were the front and back covers. They are a thicker paper, almost like card stock. Although adorable, I think a hardcover would be ideal for children. Especially given the fact that this is one of those special things your child would most likely be hanging onto for longer than your standard children’s story books. No matter which way you slice it, customizable children’s keepsakes from My Kingdom Books are definitely a gift you’ll want to get for a birthday or the upcoming holiday season.
