About the Wendy Mignot Bon Voyage Sailcloth Wristlet with Pearl Accent-Key Chain
Designers Wendy Mignot, Fine Pearls + Leather Jewelry of Seaside, Florida and Ruth McGovern (By the Bay Creations) of Annapolis, Maryland have joined talents to create this one of a kind, limited edition sailcloth wristlet. The wristlet is the perfect compliment to stow your pearls, phone and keys.
This collaborative design is made from recycled sails that have been naturally weathered from their voyages on the Chesapeake Bay to the shores of the Emerald Coast and now on to you-where the voyage continues.
Each wristlet is trimmed with a hand-cut leather strap and is accented with pearls from the Coastal Collection and then paired with a Paris street sign charm “La Vie Est Belle” (French translation: Life is beautiful). The removable leather strap and shackle with pearl accent can be utilized as a key chain separately.
My Review/Thoughts:
While I prefer to keep things somewhat simple, I loved the beautiful pearl accented keychain. I am sure I will keep it attached to the wristlet, as I have thus far, but I do like the option of removing it if desired. As you read above, the material comes straight from weathered sails. How amazing to carry a piece like this?! Your wristlet’s sails could have been on a voyage to the Chesapeake Bay or even the Emerald Coast! Even with it being weathered, I do not feel that took away from the quality and durability.
The only thing I would change is the color of the fabric. Why, you ask? Simply because I am always worried about ruining something that is white or very light in color. Nothing more than personal preference. I am very pleased with how much room this wristlet has. I could easily fit my phone, keys, lip gloss, debit card, and even my pearls inside. 😉
With the holidays fast approaching, this would be a fantastic gift for just about anyone! Mom, sis, your daughter, or even that hard to buy for person. I don’t think you could go wrong with this Wendy Mignot wristlet.
