There are few things as beautiful, to me, as the first snow. It’s almost magical to watch as the flakes dance their way to rest on the fence post outside my window. Kids faces pressed against the window with anticipation of making snow angels. And then we actually get outside. Those sweet little looks of anticipation quickly turn to icy glares as they discover the snow is COLD. Try as I may, I failed miserably at keeping their gloves tucked in their coat. I have a picture of my daughter from when she was around two years old. I had spent at least half an hour getting her all bundled up. Put on gloves, covered gloves with a plastic bag, taped around said plastic bag, layers of clothing… you know the drill. We may have been out there five minutes and she was D.O.N.E. We tried out the Glacial Hoodie and the Solstice Peplum. I honestly couldn’t choose a favorite. They are both absolutely darling. I love the sweet sophistication these coats have! They do tend to run a tad small, so if you’re teetering between sizes – I’d go up a size.
