Little Engineer Perfect S.T.E.M. Game for Eager Young Minds #Back2School16

August 7, 2016 by Kristin Hale

In January, 2017, it will be 10 year since Apple released their very first smartphone design. In the years since, technology has really transcended. With this influx of technology, it has become much easier for kids of a younger age to think creatively and excel in areas of math, science, technology and more.

Today’s generation is growing up with technology in their hands from an very, very early age. Some of the benefits to this are apps, games and products that can help with development at a much faster and more engaging rate. One of those products includes Little Engineer, an interactive coding game for beginners. Gimme the Code Little EngineerLittle Engineer is compatible with  most iPad tablets and can offer your little one hours of interactive creation. It is geared for children ages 4-10 and the kit comes equipped with an explorer stand to rest your tablet, an explorer-x reflector to rest over the camera eye and 15 coding blocks that connect and interact with the software. It also comes with a nice, durable carrying case to store everything in.STEM instructionsLittle engineer really engages kids minds and allows them to think with the left and right sides of their brain. It is a single-player app that allows kids to work independently and problem solve. The combination of problem-solving and programming capabilities makes this a great S.T.E.M. based game for kids.

The game has several fun characters that kids will love. You have the alien, “Q”, along with Mushroom Monster, Tata and more. Traveling through various worlds like Tech Town and Fantasy Forest, you use the coding blocks to move and play. As with most games, the levels start off easy and become more engaging and difficult as you level up.

This leveling up gives them a better understanding of what they have learned along the way. It also helps with crucial thinking and problem solving. The blocks allow them to pave many paths and maneuver through the various levels.
