April Fools’ Day for Coffee Lovers #iCoffee #AprilFools

March 31, 2016 by Victoria

Disclosure.New.3

Recently, I woke up to my husband warning me that the half and half I purchased is already sour.  Baffled, I got up to see what he was talking about.  I had just shopped for it two days earlier — there was no way it was bad already!

I tested the half and half inside a juice cup.  Smelled it, tasted it — everything looked fine. I brewed a cup of coffee and poured in my creamer as usual.  It instantly curdled.

Huh?

Again, I tested the plain creamer.  (This made no sense.)

No problem. So, I prepared another cup of coffee… it curdled again!

What?!

After a few minutes of repeating these same steps, I realized what was wrong… vinegar!

I spent 45 minutes making more, and more, coffee until the milk stopped curdling.  All I could think afterwards was this would make a fantastic April Fools’ Day prank!

How-To-Prank-Coffee-Lovers-April-Fools

What happened:

The night before my oldest daughter was helping clean the kitchen when I told her to empty the leftover water bottles into the coffee pot.  There was one problem — my husband often drinks apple cider vinegar in his water.  She didn’t notice the difference in color (or maybe she did…) and she poured several ounces of his vinegar and water mixture into our iCoffee Opus (Dial-A-Brew™)

How to Prank Your Coffee Lover on April Fools’ Day:

Before you begin this prank, you must complete two steps.  First, make sure you have cleaned your brewer recently (according to the manufacturer’s instructions) so you’re not having your loved one drink remnants of build-up from your machine.  Secondly, be nice and brew them a cup before you begin — just hide it.

Add 1/3 cup white vinegar into the water reservoir.  Run one cup (and toss) to make sure your loved one receive an ample amount of vinegar water in their cup. Wait for your loved one to brew their coffee.

About iCoffee’s Single Serve Coffee Brewers:

Coffee® K-Cup compatible single serve coffee brewers feature patent pending SpinBrew™ Technology, which delivers Impossibly Smooth™ coffee taste. SpinBrew™ jets spin, steam and stir right inside the K-Cup, creating a mini French press-like effect that produces a noticeably smoother tasting coffee with a more pleasant aftertaste and aroma.

Will you dare to prank your coffee loving friends and family tomorrow?
