Sunrise Botanics are the makers of essential oils. Essential Oils are becoming the alternative to so many at-home treatments, cleaning products and home freshening. I’ve heard for years now that essential oils can treat anything from acne to a bad smelling room. But, I was hesitant because I wasn’t exactly sure how to use them. Thankfully, that’s all changed now!
I was given the opportunity to test Sunrise Botanics Essential Oils and have become enlightened at the amazing results. A few months back, I tested a product that sent me some eucalyptus oil. I didn’t know if it would work or not, but I tested it on my big toenail. (I know, gross.) It cleaned up my toenail in one application. To say I was blown away is an understatement.
This inspired me to do a little research and conduct a little survey on a how other people use oils. I was again, shocked at the results. I have found that you can use essential oils topically (on the skin) or you can diffuse it to help with air freshening or cleaning. A lot of my friends have shared with me how they use the oils topically for things like headaches and sore muscles.
I’ve experimented a little with them and found out that Tea Tree Oil is amazing for acne. It cleared both of my kid’s faces up. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly it did so. I didn’t dilute it or anything. I just took a drop or two and put it on their breakouts. My daughter’s face changed drastically overnight. My son’s face cleared a lot the first night and I reapplied the oil to both their faces to see what a second day would do.
To use an oil on oily, broke out skin is something that I would never have tried. However, the results can’t be denied. I did make sure their faces were clean before I applied the Tea Tree Oil.
Another project I tried with essential oils was air purifying. I knew that I could dilute the oils and put bamboo reeds (or bamboo skewers) in a small-mouthed jar and it would freshen the air. However, I had been given a water based air purifier and wondered if I could use the oils in it. I researched online to see if it was possible or if it would mess up my machine. I found out that I could put oils in it, so in went water and (way too many) 20-30 drops of lavender. I wanted to relax and lavender is for relaxing. I placed the machine in my bedroom and found out within 5 minutes that 20-30 drops is WAY too much in the machine!
After cleaning the machine out, I mixed lavender and lemon together (about 7 drops of each) with water and turned the machine on in my kitchen. This combination is for cleaning the air and making it fresh. It worked amazingly. My kitchen smelled so good within 5 minutes.
Presently my air purifier is hooked up in my bedroom and has lavender in it again. This time, I used the correct amount and it’s been so nice sleeping with the fresh scent and soothing water sounds. But, again, it is possible to use essential oils in a diffuser and it’ll have the same effect.
There are so many websites and blogs that tell about essential oils and how to mix and use them for different projects. They tell about the healing benefits of essential oils and what are the best combinations. Before using any of them, if you are new to oils, please research them to make sure you are using them correctly. Sunrise Botanics has an amazing assortment of essential oils. They are a great resource for those who are new to essential oils.
