Looking for a stocking stuffer idea? Maybe a gift for a birthday party? Want something to send the kids outside to play with? Check out Foot Bubbles! Foot Bubbles are the neatest thing my kids and I have seen in a while. They are essentially a bubble you blow with bubble solution and then balance, kick, and play with it afterwards.
“Headquartered in Australia with offices in the USA, Hong Kong and China, Funtastic sources and manufactures the brightest and best products from around the world. Famous for creating family fun, we remain passionately proud of being part of those magic moments that last a lifetime. Funtastic, develop and market innovative brands that enrich lifestyles around the world.”
I thought, when I heard about them, that the bubbles would be thicker than actual bubbles, however, that is not the case. They are seem like regular bubbles, but the kit comes with a special pair of socks that allows you to “bump” the bubble around.
We did try to play with them without the “special” socks, but it doesn’t work. We used regular socks and the bubbles popped as soon as they touched the socks. You can’t use your hands either! We tried that and they pop too.
The kids LOVE Foot Bubbles! They played for hours with them and we laughed the whole time. You don’t need batteries or anything for these and that is the greatest thing ever!
Foot Bubbles can be played inside or out. However, I will say that I would recommend them to be played outside because the bubble solution can get messy when the kids are fighting over it, or when they are being rough. And, of course, the solution will make the wood (or tile) floors sticky or slick, and that could be bad for anyone walking on it.
The company, Messi/Funtastic, sells starter kits and refills. I love that you don’t have to purchase a full starter kit just for the bubble solution later. I know that they also make the hand kits with the special gloves to be able to bounce and play with the bubbles with your hands if you don’t want to use your feet.
The website, also gives instruction on how to play with the bubbles. There is instruction for single person play, double person play or tricks for a group of people playing.
