Choosing the Perfect Barbeque Oven for Family Parties

November 21, 2015 by Pam Maynard

There is common assumption that you must have a backyard so that you can host a barbeque party for your family. Sure, you cannot light up coal in your apartment because that would be suicidal. But who said that you can only use coal so that you can do barbeque? If you have a balcony, you can get away with not having a backyard but still get to do a barbeque. You can bring your coal barbeque to the balcony with a bunch of friends and do your grilling right there.

Barbeque options available for you

Technology has penetrated into every aspect of human living including cooking. Now it is possible to get really advanced cooking technology right from the comfort of your house. All that you need to do is search online for the barbeque oven you want to take home with you. What would this world do without internet technology? There are many websites that have made it their business to avail premium quality barbeque ovens to people across the globe.

There is electric option. This is the perfect barbeque for people who do not have backyards. They come in various sizes and thus you should not have a problem finding a small one that fits your kitchen. These ones do not produce carbon monoxide or smoke unless you burn the meat. Secondly, they are easiest to control in terms of heat. With this one, you can invite your family over for a barbeque inside your apartment. It is only functional if you have an electricity port.

Gas barbeques are in no short supply in the market. These can be a bit smoky but it depends on the quality of gas you are using. If the gas flowing into your house is contaminated it can produce some smoke. Generally, it is safe to use it inside the house or even on your balcony. As long as you can connect it to a gas outlet you are good to do. If you decide to barbeque at the park, you can bring it along plus a gas cylinder.

Finally there are the traditional coal barbeque ovens. They use coal, they need plenty of oxygen otherwise they will smoke up the whole house. You do not want to use such a barbeque inside an enclosed room. It is ideal for the backyards and parks. If your family party is all about bonding and you want to grill the meat together then this is the perfect one. It needs a bit of skill in handling it because controlling the heat can be a bit difficult.

What size should you get?

The barbeque oven will not be used only when you are having family coming over to visit you. There are times when your friends will be dropping by to catch up. You will have guys from your office visiting you. Barbequing is a good bonding activity. The size that you will get should be proportional to your general number of visitors. For instance if you have a huge family, you can get a large barbeque. Secondly, you want to pick a barbeque that you have storage for not something too big.
