I love books, the way that you can lose yourself in them. The way the author makes the simple black and white words come alive and jump off the pages. What a better way to have a child connect with the love of reading than with a book with his or her name in the story!

I was given the opportunity to order two books from I See Me. My children are older, so I personalized my two books with information for my niece and nephew. I was able to choose which books I wanted to make personalized for them and then gave details about their lives in order to make it even more special.
For my nephew, Cullen, I ordered The Night Before Christmas. Everyone knows this classic tale of Santa Claus coming to homes delivering presents, how every sound was heard, and how dad jumped out of bed to investigate the sounds on the roof. In Cullen’s version, his name is and details from his life are scattered throughout this story. His dog, Molly is illustrated beside the fireplace, his sisters and his name are placed on the presents and stockings. Even the road he lives on is in the book!
For my sweet niece, Sydney, her story takes her traveling. She is placed in a story that allows her imagination soar! She travels from her home to Paris, to Japan, and many places in between. Her book is less personalized, however, it captures her. The story is of a little girl and her HUGE imagination. Sydney (in the book) is playing dress up, but her imagination allows her to think she’s flying all over the world shopping and visiting friends.
I love these books! I wish I knew about them when my kids were little. These are not only great gift ideas, they are something that they can keep forever. Each book has the child’s date of birth, their full name and place of birth. There is also a picture of the child in the front of the book along with a personalized dedication from the giver.
