Quick and Easy Miso-Glazed Salmon
With the weather warming up, it feels like the right time to lighten up in the kitchen. No more winter stews and heavy sauces. Quick and easy proteins paired with in-season fruits and veggies are always great from spring/summer dishes. One of my quick and easy go-to dishes is Japanese-inspired miso-glazed salmon. Yes, it’s the same miso that you love that is in miso soup.
Here’s what you’ll need.
- 1/4 cup white miso
- 5 teaspoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar
- 3 teaspoons water
- 2 teaspoons minced, fresh ginger
- 4-6 salmon filets
- 1 green onion for garnish
First, pre-heat your boiler. The, mix the miso, sugar, water, rice vinegar, and ginger together in a small bowl until smooth.
Once it’s mixed until smooth, set it aside. Place the salmon filets on a baking sheet. Then, spread the miso paste over the filets.
Then, place the salmon in the broiler for about 2 to 3 minutes. Take out from the broiler, turn the salmon over, and coat the other side of the salmon with the miso paste. After about 3 to 4 minutes, you are done! Take out from the oven and enjoy!
