Inside every family’s back-to-school arsenal should be fantastic educational toys. Toys that will help the child learn without them even knowing it! My family has been playing with Magformers for a few months now and I have to tell you:
Magformers is the one toy that everyone in the house uses daily.
Yes, DAILY! They are simple, durable, and endless fun!
Each Magformers piece is strong, colorful, and contains high quality magnets inside ABS plastic. Pieces connect together easily and pull apart with minimal force. It amazes me that a child can pull apart the pieces easily, yet, they stay together for you to build tall or “heavy” structure designs. Magformers play is something you need to experience for yourself to fully understand how I can say they have strong magnets, yet still be easy for children pull apart.
Intelligent Magnetic Construction Set For Brain Development – MAGFORMERS are easy to use and never frustrating. The patented intelligently designed MAGFORMERS magnets are housed in colorful, high quality ABS plastic. They always attract and never repel, so the moment any two pieces touch they connect. High quality magnets that instantly connect are sure to spark curiosity and play time is creative, stimulating, and constructive. Building with MAGFORMERS engages mathematical and scientific thought, deductive reasoning, and requires use of spatial awareness. Manipulating the powerful, colorful MAGFORMERS magnets IS educational, but despite being an educational experience, play is magical and FUN!

Educational? How?
Everything about Magformers is educational – it is even in their name: “Intelligent Magnetic Construction Set for Brain Development”. Each of my children utilize Magformers in a different way to help develop in the stage they are learning in. They should be in all classrooms, in and out of the home!
Magformers are recommended for children ages three and up and the box *does state a choking hazard warning. I assume this is because the inside of each piece has small magnets inside. That said, we have run over one in the garage (unintentionally) and the piece didn’t break. We do play with them with our baby. He LOVES for me to build structures he can knock down. I see them as an educational tool that is teaching him the basics of physics and cause and effect.
My toddler (age three) and I are building using Magformers together daily. While we build, we identify pieces by color and shape. Inside the 62 Piece set we received activity/pattern cards that we use to help her identify shapes in everyday life. Such as, instantly identifying that a house has squares and rectangles or that several triangles can be utilized in a roof.
My Kindergartner is most fascinated by magnetism in general. He likes to build the biggest structures possible to observe how weight and height effects Magformers’ ability to stay together. He has yet to build anything that didn’t stay together when elevated above the floor.
My oldest three children (ages 10, 13, and 15) enjoy using Magformers motion kits. We received the “Wow Set” that allows us to build 20 cars using only the 16 pieces included. When our “WOW Set” first arrived, my oldest son took-off with the set and activity cards to build every mini-cars suggestion possible. (He wanted to learn them before anyone else so they could have building competitions.) All three of my big kids have put in requests for more motion kits (Carnival, gears, etc.) because they loved this one set so much.
Mom’s Recommendation
For me, the greatest compliment a reviewer can give a product is to purchase it on their own, without a review. I can honestly tell you that Magformers are in my Amazon cart right now. While my Wish List has the Super Brain set on it Christmas, I will be purchasing the Magformers RC Custom Set for my oldest son’s birthday next month.
