When my husband and I shopped for a new laptop for our kids schooling we didn’t think about storage and memory as much as we did the price. Shortly after our purchase, my oldest son requested an memory/sd card. He explained that even after removing anything we didn’t need, we were still too low on storage to download all of the apps and educational games that all six of my children needed.
No problem. The next time I ran to the store, I picked up an 8 GB card and brought it home.

My son stood in the kitchen with a very confused look on his face and I returned his look with a confused look of my own. Shortly thereafter, he explained what he meant to tell me the first time. He didn’t want me to pickup a random memory card. He wanted me to get a SanDisk – Ultra 64GB SDXC UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card. Apparently, purchasing an SD card required more knowledge than I realized. My son quickly told me that not having an the proper card that can perform at optimum speed will cause your device to lag (perform poorly/slower than it should). Any device can experience lag at more than 100% when using an improper SD card.
I had no idea.
You mean all memory cards aren’t alike?
No, apparently not all SD memory cards are alike! He chose the SanDisk – Ultra 64GB SDXC UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card because it holds more than enough space for the little one’s games, and the read and write speed was up to 30MB/sec. He also wanted a memory card instead of a flash drive so the babies don’t pull it out. (Genius, this kid is.)
Why do you need a SanDisk?
Sometimes less than 50% of the advertised storage is actually usable on your devices, like phones and tablets. SanDisk Memory Cards are a great way to boost your space without spending a fortune. Electronics manufacturers can charge more than $100 for more built-in storage; purchasing the external card storage instead offers big savings (upwards of 75%), providing you with the larger storage option you need without the bigger price tag. Add a SanDisk microSD™ card to your smartphone or tablet, and you can carry more of the media and apps you love. Thin and light computing devices, tablets, and smartphones demand the compact form factors of SanDisk microSD cards.
Another great reason to pickup a SanDisk memory card from Best Buy is to quickly transfer between iPhone, iPad, and computers. The SanDisk – iXpand 64GB USB 2.0/Lightning Flash Drive does all of this AND Frees up iPhone and iPad memory with both lightning and USB connectors.
Capture the New School Year
Mobile devices help you share your back-to-school stories and experiences. Make sure their performance can keep up. Whether you want more storage for your phone or a card that makes it easy to shoot high resolution video on the go, you can choose the way you want to add fast, reliable data storage with capacity options from 4GB to 200GB.
