The movies aren’t the only place Minions are at right now, they are also at Build-a-Bear Workshop! We had the chance to check out the entire collection and they are as cute as one would expect! My little ones love the outfits, cute minionness (if that isn’t a word, it should be), and the sounds – ah – the sounds!
We actually found out that our Minions “spoke” by accident. Kevin, Bob, and Stuart arrived fully dressed and ready to play with signature denim overalls and rubber boots. A few days later, baby girl dropped a boot and discovered the sound button on Bob while trying to put the boot on. Ever since, those boots have been put away because they [the kids] can’t stop pressing the buttons to make them talk! It is the cutest thing seeing those adorable Minions chatting away with giggling kids.
My kids have slept with Kevin, Stuart, and Bob (Minions) from Build-a-Bear Workshop since they arrived. My littlest bunch has refused to go without them for a second.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop, available online and in stores, include a variety of costume options, including the Minions’ signature denim overalls and rubber boots, along with three era costumes as featured in the film. As guests make their new plush friends, they can choose from a selection of pre-recorded sounds based on each character’s own popular sayings or add their own personal message on a Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Our favorite Minion is – who am I kidding, I can’t choose. Each of my three children who received a Minion Build-a-Bear have a the best reason why they think their Minion is the greatest. My ten year-old likes that she can sleep with her minion by using him as a pillow. She has Minion Kevin and he is a little longer and softer than the other two.
My five year old thinks that Minion Stuart is special because he has one eye. “He is so cool he only needs one eye!”
Baby Girl thinks that her Minion Bob is the best Build-a-Bear Minion because he is the smallest, just like her.
*Quick fact about Minion Bob – did you know he has two different colored eyes? One is green, and the other is brown.
