My husband and I are big VW Camper Van fans. We have attended specialty car shows that are 100% devoted to VW Camper Van enthusiast. When my husband saw the 1965 VW Camper Van Play Tent from the Monster Factory, he had to have one!
When the tent arrived my kids were ready to tackle it. I started to set it up but quickly realized there was something not right – our poles were too long.
I called my husband over to help to make sure I wasn’t mistaken. He was able to get to poles in enough not to disappoint the littles, but I was still confused.
I headed over to The Monster Factory to read more about the poles and watch the setup video. They didn’t have any of the problems I was having so I circled back with the company to find out why I was having trouble. They quickly responded with word that they were having pole issues with a small batch of tents and they would replace our poles with the correct ones as soon as possible.
When the new poles arrived, I was relived. They fit and I didn’t have to worry about them sliding out and smacking any of the kids (or the tent falling down).
With the correct poles inserted properly, the durable Velcro flap kept them in place while the kids had their fun.

What you want to know:
The VW Camper Van Play Tent appears to be durable. As rough as my kids can be they haven’t knocked it down or torn any flaps yet.
Repacking the van inside the carrying case is easy, but we have only done it once since my kids keep the tent up in their playroom at all times — never giving any reason to put it away or store it.
The tent’s blue color is light and timeless; true to the VW Camper Van’s style
What we think:
My kids love the tent. We mostly use it indoors. I think my ten month old loves it the most so he can crawl through it and sneak up on his siblings.
I like the VW Camper Van Play Tent because of the added touches. It has a back flap, side flap, and even a front window! My daughter enjoys pretending she is at the drive in. She pulls in a small chair and watches her shows from inside the tent.
We can’t wait to get the VW Camper Van Play Tent home to Florida to take advantage of the UV protection while hanging out at the beach.
I’m pleased with the tent as it is today.
