Why I Like it:
I have never really been a green tea drinker. In fact, I have never even heard of Matcha Green Tea before I had the chance to try it out. I did a little research and figured out it was definitely worth a try. Any time I can add a small amount of nutritious goodness to my smoothies and get a big result, I am happy! You can check out my Vanilla Matcha Avocado Smoothie recipe HERE. It was really delicious and even my 12 year-old liked it. He surprises me sometimes with what he likes. Just yesterday he ate Spinach and Artichoke Dip! It was cheesy and delicious, but he NEVER used to eat anything with spinach.
The Matcha powder really did give me some energy. I don’t normally feel much of an energy boost from coffee anymore. I just need it to wake up because it’s hot and sweet- yes, I love flavored creamer. The energy boost I felt was a natural kind, not that “red bull run puppy laps around the house” kind of energy. I am pretty sensitive to those artificial stimulants and they can make me shaky and jittery feeling.
