What did I think?
I was impressed with the packaging when the nabi DreamTab arrived. When you open the box you are greeted by a colorful popup of the Dreamworks characters. The tablet slides out while the characters pop out at you. My children were delighted with the box alone.
The DreamTab comes with a bright orange protective case that is soft but sturdy. You can add accessories like Knabi (letters) or Paper FX (border on the front) to personalize your nabi.

There are many things I really like about the Dreamtab: My favorite part is the fact that I don’t have to worry about internet safety! Here are a few features that made the top of my list:
Dual Mode – There are parental controls! You can be as relaxed or strict as you want to be. You can set up a profile for each child in your home while you have your own parental profile. You decide what apps your children have access to from the google play store. Each profile is password protected.
The nabi Dreamtab is a family device. Your children can learn and play in a safe internet environment. Afterwards, it’s the “big kid’s” turn. On the parental profile you have full access to roam the internet like you would on your pc.
Timer – We are a tech family. Our three children LOVE to be online. nabi allows us to set timers per profile. This allows each child to have equal play time just in case mom and dad forget. You know how fast time can fly when you’re on the internet.
Incentives – You can watch the Dreamworks movies! How fun is that?! There are educational apps that allow you to play games that will let you earn more play time and/or watch videos and movies. That is a great incentive for kids to explore the educational aspect of the Dreamtab.
Educational – There are over 400 apps to explore. Many of them are games, although several are educational. You can select the grade/age of your child to match a learning app to your child’s ability. It’s quite remarkable how much they can learn with nabi.
The Dreamtab comes with an android operating system and is fit for all ages. It’s not your typical kid’s tablet. It’s a device your whole family can enjoy.
