Who doesn’t love paper, notebooks and Writing Pads?
I must admit, our family is addicted to paper products! We love paper notebooks, journals, writing pads, sketch pads, note pads, fancy photo paper, organic notebooks, quad ruled paper and more. It’s even more dangerous now that we can by paper and notebooks online. We were very excited to receive a box of paper goods from Roaring Springs. I picked the Environotes SugarCane Notebook, The Elephant PooPoo Paper Journal and the colorful 3 Subject Wirebound Notebook to review.
The Environotes Sugarcane Notebook is 9 1/2″ by 6″. It is unique because the white paper is produced from sustainable sugarcane fiber. It comes in 4 colors. I love the natural green color and so does my son. He already claimed the Sugarcane notebook. It is just the right size to fit into his backpack or his smaller messenger bag. Compared to other smaller notebooks, this one is made with more attention t detail. The wire binding is snag proof and the paper is college ruled and thicker than the 99 cent notebooks you get at WalMart. The front and back cover are thicker than usual so will hold up to a 9 year-old boy very well! ? The only thing I didn’t like about the Sugarcane notebook is that the pages were not perforated.
I love that it is a Shop Green product! Did you know that producing sugarcane paper conserves over 60,000 acres of forestland every year?
The Roaring Spring Wirebound 3 Subject Notebook is another one of my son’s favorites from the box of goodies. It has a great durable vinyl cover that wipes clean. It also has a double pocket to hold loose papers or projects. This Notebook is unique in that is has 3 different colored papers to separate each subject. Each subject can be either blue, pink or purple. The pages are perforated for easy removal without ripping your masterpiece. Compare to other 3 subject notebooks, this notebook is much more durable due to the vinyl cover. It also has the advantage of colored page, such a great incentive to write on soothing pastel colors.
My personal favorite: Roaring Spring Elephant PooPoo Paper is made from 100% recycled and odorless products- elephant poo! It’s true, this paper is made from Elephant Poo. Apparently, Elephants don’t break down all the grass they eat. So, their waste is very high fiber. Since grass fibers are the main ingredient for making pulp in paper, the Elephant PooPoo Paper people made this sustainable product! Talk about reduce, reuse and recycle, this product has it all. It is a definite unique and memorable product. It’s just the right size to put in your purse. Imagine the conversation you could start when you bring out your Elephant PooPoo Journal to write down some ideas.
The front cover is a pretty pink and has peace signs, Recycle flowers and birds decorating it. Grow peace! That’s what Elephant PooPoo Paper is aiming for.
Don’t worry, it’s totally odorless!
