We don’t need to add any artificial colors or flavors to our popcorn to make it taste good. It does that all on its own. You’ll know it when you grab your first handful. Today we make our Extra Virgin Olive Oil popped corn with three timeless ingredients: Organic Popcorn, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Sea Salt. We still use traditional small batch methods to pop our corn, like Great Grandpa Cretors did, but we have stayed modern by keeping our focus on purity. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about trying organic Olive Oil Popcorn. I really LOVE the buttery movie theater popcorn and I had a feeling it wasn’t going to measure up. I was so wrong! The Extra Virgin Olive Oil tastes even better than butter. It’s light, buttery tasting but not greasy. It actually makes me feel good eating popcorn as a healthy snack. It only has 3 ingredients which really makes me feel good about eating it and sharing it with my family. Even my son, who doesn’t like popcorn very much, loves the new Organic Popcorn.

This one is my hubby’s favorite! It is light, flavorful and gives you just the right amount of salt to curb that “salty craving” that we all get.

Want a great recipe for Fiesta Popcorn?
Nothing says fun quite like a bowl of popcorn. The fresh and crisp taste of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Popcorn is the perfect canvas for our Fiesta popcorn topping. The smoky and zesty Fiesta topping is delicious and versatile, try it on our Simply Salted popcorn too.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 2 minutes Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients:
1 bag (125g) G.H. Cretors Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Popcorn
3 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp chipotle powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly grated lime zest
2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
Directions:
Melt coconut oil in small sauté pan set over medium-low heat. Stir in chipotle powder, cumin, oregano, garlic salt and salt. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant. Stir in lime zest and cilantro. Toss popcorn with spice mixture to serve.
Tip:
For a spicy kick, add pinch of cayenne pepper too.
Makes 9 cups.
