Standing at 12 inches tall Leonardo is ready for anything. The Katana’s he holds are removable and are a good size for your young kid to hold while sword fighting with Leonardo. On his back is a handle that is small enough for the little ones to operate. The handle operates Leonardo in a couple of ways. If you squeeze the handle, his arms move in an up and down motion. While the arms move up and down, he talks and makes action sounds. There is a switch on his shell that lets you switch the sound from katana, to hand. What this changes is the sound. For instance, if he doesn’t have his katana’s, you would switch it to hand so the sounds resemble karate chops. If he has his katana’s, it makes the sound of a sword hitting something which is pretty cool. Of course, it also has the option to turn off all sounds (who would want to do that?). If you take the handle and turn Leonardo to either side he lifts his leg as though he was doing a side kick. He also says one of the hundred catch phrases and sounds while kicking. (Yes, there is a LOT going on with this toy!)

Michelangelo is about six inches tall, but don’t let his size fool you. He has almost as much action as the bigger Leonardo. Michelangelo has a lever on his shell that when pressed up or down moves his hands that are holding nunchucks in an ninja fighting action.While Michelangelo is doing his ninja fighting when you move his lever he also says twenty different phrases and sounds. When it comes to making sounds, Michelangelo stands because of the loud volume he puts out. The audio on this toy is louder than any toy I have ever heard.
The toys have a good solid feel to them so I feel comfortable saying that it they will last for years to come. It was really nice to play with the kids and actually know the characters they are playing with. My hubby was cool in my kids eyes because of his knowledge of the characters. He says thanks for an amazing product that makes him look like a rock star dad!
