Maggie Bags™ uses as much of this rejected material as possible in our seat belt purses and seat belt handbags. Availability of rejected seat belt webbing can vary greatly therefore some must be purchased new to meet the growing demand for our unique and stylish seat belt handbags. However, our commitment to use repurposed material whenever possible remains steadfast.
The Maggie Bags™ team is continually looking for creative ways to do our part for the environment. We are proud that the construction of our handbags is a simple cut-and-sew operation. This helps to minimize the environmental impact of manufacturing new materials and eliminates the need for typical recycling processes that consume large amounts of energy and other resources.
The Campus Tote in Avenue by Maggie Bags is my favorite Maggie Bag by far. There are so many things I love about it, let me give you a list:
- It has a zippered top! Nothing falls out when you can zip it up!
- The inside is lined with a purple satin so you can see what’s in your purse.
- It is heavy duty, quality made from seatbelts. I love that it is a recycled product and that I can bring it on a week long press trip and it still looks like new.
- It has the little feet on the bottom so it will stand up. Nothing is more irritating than a hangbag that falls over.
- It has roomy interior with pockets. There is a zippered pocket and slide in pockets- perfect for your cell phones and other electronics.
- It’s very stylish!
- It’s practical! Busy moms will love how much it hold and how easy it is to find things. I think you could even use it as a diaper bag. The only thing missing would be a bottle/drink holder on the outside of the bag.
- Did you know you can wash your Maggie bag? You can! Just be sure to do it on delicate cycle on cold wash. Just let it dry laying flat.
