The Kit-Cat Klock was everywhere when I was a child and boy did I want one!  (Learn about Kit-Cat in the Movies HERE.) He was added to that laundry list of toys and things I didn’t get as a child, but I did receive him this year on my birthday!

My children had no idea what they were in store for when our Kit-Cat Klock arrived.  They thought Mommy had gone a little shy of crazy when they saw how excited I was over a wall clock.  I had to stop several times and and explain that this was not just any clock!  This was “the most amazing wall clock ever made.”

Opening the package was a treat reserved for me (sure, I picked him out for my daughter’s Christmas present and I stole it on my birthday… but Mommy’s can do that, right?).  The box is beautifully decorated with information and cartoons of Kit-Cat.   “Smile with Kit-Cat”, red hearts, and the creed:

“Put a smile on everyone’s face;

Love in everyone’s heart;

Energy in everyone’s body;

and — Be a positive force in everyone’s life!”

After opening I carefully retreated to the kitchen table to install his batteries and tail as gently as possible.  Once he was altogether, up he went!  Directly to the kitchen wall in a high, safe, place. – Instant smiles all around!

We called the little ones into the kitchen and they were beyond thrilled.  My two and four year-old littles stared in awe over him for several minutes along with me. My big kids pretended to think he wasn’t as awesome as Mommy thinks… but their smiles and constant staring at him proved otherwise (he’s awesome).

When you walk around the corner into my kitchen our Kit-Cat Klock is the first thing you see and I just love it!  I instantly smile and sometimes give a chuckle that I actually have one… in my kitchen! 

We’ve had him up for a few weeks now and his eyes and tail are still moving like ‘clock work’.  The beautifully decorated box he arrived in has become baby girl’s favorite keepsake.  She carries it around and carefully opens it to see the brochure she has tucked inside.  She pulls it out a few times a day and asks about “Kit-Cat” and then asks me to help put it back inside.  Every aspect of Kit-Cat being in the house has been a joy – even the box he arrived in!
