Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to let you know what we have been up to this past week.
We have a house!
A little over a week ago, this amazing thing happened! Someone I had worked with in the past saw our family’s situation and offered to help by putting us in contact with a property manager with a HUGE heart! After several emails and personal references telephone calls, we were selected to move into a home that needed the love of a family.
With the help provided by our GoFundMe fundraiser and the proceeds from an online Auction, we were able to pay our first month’s rent and a portion of our housing deposits. We even had a few dollars leftover to buy a set of pots and pans to get us cookin’ until we can bring our household belongings over from Florida.
Our first few days in our new home was a little stressful as EVERYONE managed to catch a 24 hour virus that ran rapid throughout the family for several days. This prevented us from settling in appropriately and allowing visitors to come by. It was a long first week without furniture and household anything, but we all finally regained our health and were able to permit our property manager to stop in again…
This past Friday night our home was flooded with boxes and bags full of goodies that she had spent the entire week collecting from her friends and family. Cups, bowls, plates, dish cloths, cooking utensils, food, bathroom needs and toiletries, sheets, blankets, warm clothing for the kids, baby clothing for the baby, a baby swing, and a few miscellaneous items too. As an added bonus, two recliners and a dining table was brought over for our use! While the home is still quite empty, we are thankful to be off the floor!
Special Thank You to Nancy Vogel, Family on Bikes
and
Sheri from Home Team Properties in Boise, ID
We would like to thank the local “strangers” who have been so gracious to us since we have arrived in Idaho. -Joe (I believe) and his wife for allowing us to rent their home; and leaving behind a mattress, linens, and some cooking utensils. -Lynda B. and her husband for providing us with their living room furniture while they are in New Zealand for the next year as Missionaries with the LDS Church. – There are others whom we have yet to meet but have felt their impact through Sheri. We are thankful for the blessings we have received.
Thank you to my AMAZING blogging family who has worked so hard to share our story, GoFundMe Fundraiser, and participated in the online Auction. Please stop by their amazing blogs and let them know I sent you:

Many of the bloggers listed above participated in the Auction for Family Housing that was held the weekend before we moved into our home. Without this auction, we would not have been able to move in as planned. It was our final chance to raise the funding we needed. Please accept our sincere gratitude to all of those who donated services/product and won at the auction.
Thank you to those who have contributed to our GoFundMe Fundraiser. The following list consists of those we know personally and those whom we have never met. We are amazed by all of the donations sent out of love. You all have a special place in our heart – words cannot express how grateful we are. You are the ones who showed us that there is hope, that it is possible to have a home before baby “J” is born. Your donations have made us cry happy tears… we are forever grateful.
*Please email me (or comment below) if you have blogged about our story and I have failed to link back to your blog by including you in our Blogging Family section of this post.
Stayed tuned for more updates from us as we continue to settle into our new home here in Idaho. Thank you again to everyone who has helped us along this journey. Blessings to you and your family, Victoria
