Jake and his dog Miller can help teach your kids about the right kind of things to get ready if they are facing a scary situation. Just being able to recall this fun story will help any child deal with disaster.
This book is so fun, it will keep you turning the pages. Even my 11 year old loved it (don’t tell anyone.) Miller is a special dog- he talks to Jake and the two of them figure out what to bring on their “adventure.” They even include a first aid kit, water bottle with a filter built in, flashlight, special blankets and more. I think some adults could benefit from this story. You never know when a disaster will happen. If you are prepared and know what you need to do, things are less scary and easier to handle for everyone.
Do you have a bag ready – just in case? Do you kids know what they can do to help if a disaster is eminent? I highly recommend Jake & Miller’s Big Adventure for children of any age that live in areas where natural disasters occur all too frequently. I recommend it to anyone because it is always better to be prepared!
