My Spy Birdhouse #Review

March 21, 2014 by Pam Maynard

I was given this product, free of charge, for purposes of this review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

my spy bhAbout the Birdhouse:

You can see the birds, but they can’t see you!

Suction cups and weatherproof material, which makes it possible to be positioned outside any window, allowing bird watchers to see the action right from the comfort of their own

Clear acrylic window backing and two way mirror insert allows viewers to watch birds build nests, lay eggs and raise their young without ever being disturbed by on lookers

My Review:

my spy bhNow that it is officially spring, by the calendar anyway, it’s the perfect time for bird watching!  Of course, up here in New Hampshire, mother nature didn’t get the message and we still have 3 feet of snow in our front yard.  We have a metal roof and all the snow slides off into huge piles right in front of my windows.  I put my house up last month, but they only birds I saw near it were our Guinea Hens.  They knew i had dropped some bird seed while I was filling the feeder next to the new house, so they kept checking for stray seeds every day!

The Birdhouse was super easy to put up, after I cleared a path to the kitchen window.  It was the only window that was accessible due to the huge snow piles from the metal roof.  The suction cups stuck easily and never slid like some do.  The house itself is made of a durable resin that won’t fade or crack or rot like wood does.

There are 2 different sized bird holes you can use.  Our birds are fairly small- the chickadee comes around most often in the spring.  I kept the smaller hole.  The clear back panel slid on easily.  I did have a little trouble with the 2-way mirror film.  But I got it one with just a little wrinkle on one side.

This bird house is the perfect gift for bird watchers of all ages.  I know my MIL has a hummingbird feeder on her kitchen window and this would be perfect for her.  She lives in Florida so she has birds coming around all year.

Overall, I highly recommend this My Spy Bird House for a little fun and a little eduction all at the same time.  Will make a great gift for moms this Mother’s Day!

Happy Bird Watching!
