What is Shantelyn Treasure Dust Mixture?
It is a 100% natural mix that you use to make your own chex mix! It only takes 1 cup of butter or oil to make it this yummy treat. Trixi’s Treasures LLC specializes in making this unique, one-of-a-kind mixtures, called “Shantelyn Treasure Dust” mixtures, which is 100% all natural, and when baked onto any snack food(s) it adds a sweet, salty, savory, crunch to just about anything edible. The main goal is to make healthy food tastes great! The Shantelyn Treasure Dust comes in 5 flavors- Original, Sugar-Free, Mild, Spicy, and Wild “Ghost Pepper.” All varieties are gluten-free.
My favorite variety is the Original. I must have consumed about 10 of the pre-mixed bags by myself. It’s very addictive! My husband and son like it also, but would like it a little saltier. On one of the batches I made, I used more salty mix-ins such as potato chips, peanuts and sunflower seeds. I used the Mild Dust mixture and my hubby ate most of it and brought the rest to work before I could even take a picture of it.

It is super easy to make your won Trixi’s Treasures with The Dust Mixture. Fill a large roasting pan with all the snacks (except for candy.) You need 1 cup of butter or oil. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add a whole bag of the dust mixture and stir. Reduce heat to simmer until it boils. Keep stirring. Pour half of the mixture onto the dry pieces and stir to coat all the dry mixture. It will be like a caramel consistency. Pour rest of the melted mix onto the dry mixture and coat it all evenly. Then divide the batch into 2 or 3 shallow pans or cookie sheets. Bake a 250 degrees for 90 minutes, be sure to stir every 15 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!!
My next combination is going to have a chocolate and peanut butter theme. I am going to use peanuts, peanut filled pretzel bites, Reese’s cereal and Chocolate Chips- dark, semi-sweet and white chocolate chips. if you use candy, be sure to add it in after the baking is completed.
