MAKE HEALTHY HALLOWEEN SPIDERS

October 9, 2013 by Pam Maynard

Spider 2

Make these healthy little creepy crawly spiders this Halloween.  They are fun and easy for little fingers to make.  And they are made out of materials you probably have lying around the house or that can easily be bought.  Many large supermarkets now stock basic craft items where you can buy googly eyes, pompoms and craft glue – the staples of any craft box.

You can mix and match the fruit according to your colour theme, whatever fruit is in season or else what you have in your fridge. Try strawberries and black pipe cleaners for a bold look, or else orange melon and black pipe cleaners for Halloween fun.

Create an army of spiders as tasty snacks for a Halloween themed party.    Or else make a plate for the family to enjoy.  And if you wrap the fruit in clingwrap, these appealing arachnids can be handed out at the door for a healthy alternative for trick or treaters.

SPOOKY SPIDERS IN THREE EASY STEPS!

To make these horrifying but healthy spiders, you’ll need the following materials:

* Fruit (strawberries or grapes work well or even cubes of watermelon or pawpaw)

* Toothpicks

* Googly eyes

* Glue

* Pipe cleaners

It is really easy to make these Halloween Spiders, just by following  these three simple steps:

1.  Cut the pipe cleaners in half and wrap around the toothpick. Bend to create legs.

2.  Stick on your eyes

3.  Add your fruit and that’s it, you’re done!

Get crafting and Happy Halloween!
