Tap Into a World of Fun & Learning with Tappi
As a mom, I’m always looking for fun ways to help my toddler learn, and Tappi has been such a great addition to our learning routine. My son is 2 and at this age he is like a little sponge! He picks up so much from everything happening around him, so I love taking advantage of this stage by turning playtime into learning time. The best part is finding ways to teach him that are fun, interactive, and keep him engaged without always relying on a screen.
Right now, we’re focusing a lot on communication and learning new words, and Tappi has made that so much more exciting for him. He has already learned so many words and songs while simply having fun! It’s easy for him to interact with, and we can use it almost anywhere, whether we’re playing at home or taking it along with us. I love seeing him get excited to tap, listen, learn, and repeat what he hears. It keeps him entertained while helping him learn at the same time, which is a huge win for this mama!
About Tappi
Books that come to life.
Tappi was founded by two moms who were looking for a better way for their little ones to play and learn. Like so many parents, they found themselves trying to find the right balance between traditional toys and screen time. Wooden toys were great for hands-on play, but they weren’t always exciting enough to keep little ones engaged. Screens, on the other hand, could definitely hold their attention, but sometimes felt overstimulating. They wondered, why couldn’t there be something in between?
That idea inspired Tappi, a collection of interactive books created for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2–6. Using the Tappi Play Pen, kids can simply tap different parts of each page to bring their books to life with sounds, music, words, and games. It gives little ones a hands-on experience while encouraging important early learning skills like vocabulary, comprehension, literacy, and imagination.
Tappi was created around the idea that technology can be a positive part of early childhood when it’s used thoughtfully. Kids can explore, listen, learn, and play at their own pace and once they get the hang of it, they can even enjoy their Tappi books independently. It’s a fun way to combine the feel of a real book with the excitement and interaction kids love! Tappi recently won a Good Housekeeping Parenting Award for the Tappi Starter Set.
My Thoughts:
I have been so impressed with Tappi. More importantly, I love seeing how much my 2-year-old has learned from it.
We received the Tappi Starter Set. It comes with the Tappi Play Pen and three interactive board books. We also received Look & Find: Around the Neighborhood, which Tappi sells separately.
My toddler became curious as soon as we started using it. He quickly figured out how to tap the pages and explore on his own. Now he gets excited to see what each tap will unlock!
Meet the Tappi Play Pen
The Tappi Play Pen is the cute little main character that brings each book to life. Kids simply tap different pictures with the pen. Each tap can unlock words, sounds, stories, songs, games, and fun surprises.
Each book includes hundreds of things to tap and explore. The pages also feature different games and activities. There is always something new for my toddler to discover.
I also love how easy the Play Pen is for little hands to use. My son can hold it and explore the books by himself. He chooses what he wants to hear and what he wants to play next.
One Play Pen works with the entire Tappi library. That means we can add more books as he grows without needing a new pen. The Play Pen also charges with USB-C and offers more than six hours of playtime.
Three Books to Start the Fun
The Starter Set includes three best-selling board books.
Animals introduces kids to more than 80 animals. They can hear animal names, sounds, and fun facts.
Let’s Play Music features seven musical instruments. Kids can tap the instruments and hear them come to life.
The Wheels on the Bus and Other Songs includes six nursery rhymes. My toddler loves tapping, listening, and singing along. Music also gives us another fun way to practice new words.
Our Favorite: Look & Find Around the Neighborhood

We also received Look & Find: Around the Neighborhood, and we love this one so much! Tappi sells this book separately from the Starter Set.
The book has more than 500 things to tap. Kids can explore places like the park, library, grocery store, and more.
Our favorite activity is the “Can you find…?” game. I ask my son to find something on the page. He looks around until he finds it and then taps it with his Play Pen.
I love watching him understand what I’m asking. He gets so excited when he finds the right thing and hears the word. At only 2 years old, he has already picked up so many new words.
Learning Through Play
One of my favorite things about Tappi is how naturally it brings learning into playtime. My toddler doesn’t feel like he is sitting down for a lesson. He simply taps, listens, sings, searches, and plays.
All of those activities can support important early skills. Words, sounds, and conversations encourage language development. Tapping helps little hands practice fine motor skills. The games can also introduce early reading and math concepts.
We are focusing a lot on communication right now. I love hearing my son repeat the words and songs he hears from Tappi. Seeing him understand more each time makes me so happy.
Interactive Fun Without a Screen
Another huge plus for our family is the screen-free play. Tappi gives my toddler the interaction he loves without handing him a phone or tablet.
We also take it just about everywhere. We bring it in the car, to restaurants, and anywhere else we need to keep him busy. The Play Pen is small, portable, and rechargeable. That makes it great for road trips, flights, restaurants, and everyday outings.
Tappi works just as well at home. We can sit together and explore the books, or my toddler can play more independently. It can also add some extra fun to homeschool lessons, preschool practice, or everyday learning.
So Much Learning With Every Tap
I’m so happy with how much my toddler has learned from Tappi. He thinks he is simply tapping, singing, listening, and playing. Meanwhile, I get to watch his vocabulary and understanding grow.
Tappi has become something we can use for learning, entertainment, and everyday play. I especially love watching his face light up when he discovers something new!
A Gift They’ll Actually Want to Use
If you’re looking for a holiday gift that is both fun and educational, Tappi would make such a great choice for toddlers and preschoolers. It’s the kind of gift kids can get excited about opening and parents can feel good about giving. Instead of adding another screen into their day, Tappi gives them interactive fun they can touch, hear, explore, and enjoy at their own pace.
I especially love that this is a gift that can grow with them. You can continue adding new books to their Tappi collection as their interests and skills develop, while using the same Play Pen. It’s something they can enjoy at home, in the car, while traveling, or whenever they need a fun activity.
For me, the best gifts are the ones that don’t get forgotten a few days after the holidays. Tappi is something we can reach for every day. It feels like playtime to my toddler while giving me the peace of mind that he is learning along the way. Fun for kids, educational for parents, and completely screen-free—Tappi is a holiday gift that keeps the learning and fun going long after the presents are opened!
