Hands-On Fun for Curious Minds: Learning & Creating with Swevva
If there’s one thing my kids never want to be, it’s bored! I feel like I’m constantly hearing, “What can we do?” or trying to come up with something that will keep them busy and entertained. And while electronics and TV make that easy, I don’t always want screen time to be the answer.
That’s why I’m always looking for activities that get my kids away from their screens and actually using their imaginations. I love finding things that keep their hands busy, let them be creative, and, most importantly, make learning feel fun.

My Thoughts on Swevva Toys:
One of my favorite things about these Swevva toys was seeing how naturally they brought my kids together. With kids of different ages, it isn’t always easy to find something that everyone wants to be involved in. But with these toys, I noticed them sitting together, helping each other, sharing ideas, and just enjoying each other’s company. There was no TV playing in the background and no one asking for a phone or tablet. They were simply playing, creating, talking, and bonding.
I also liked that each toy offered something completely different. One let them slow down and get creative, another had them building and making up their own adventures, and the Busy Board quickly became a favorite for my toddler. It was nice seeing how something as simple as hands-on play could keep them entertained while also helping them learn along the way.
Craft Kit for Kids – 21 Animal Projects
The Craft Kit for Kids was such a fun one because there was always something new for them to make. It comes with 21 different projects divided into 10 numbered envelopes, so instead of opening a box filled with random craft supplies, everything feels organized and easy to follow.
The kids got to try different activities like lacing cards, felt masks, gem art, 3D puzzles, scratch art, and more. I especially loved watching them sit together and work on their projects. They would compare what they were making, help each other when someone needed it, and get excited to show off the finished result.
As a mom, I REALLY appreciated that everything was already pre-cut and ready to use. I didn’t have to pull out a bunch of extra supplies or spend forever preparing an activity just for them to finish it in ten minutes! They could choose an envelope, open it, and start creating.
What I also liked was seeing them practice patience and follow directions without it feeling like schoolwork. They were working on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and focus, but to them, they were simply having fun and making something they could be proud of.
Military Magnetic Tiles for Creative Building & Hero Roleplay
The Military Magnetic Tiles brought out a completely different side of their creativity. Instead of following one specific way to play, they could build their own little world and decide what happened next.
The set includes magnetic vehicles, character figures, roads, garages, military accessories, building pieces, and other areas they can put together in different ways. Once they started building, the storytelling quickly followed. One idea turned into another, and before I knew it, they had created their own missions and adventures.
This was probably one of my favorite toys for watching the kids work together. They had to decide what they wanted to build, figure out where different pieces should go, and add onto each other’s ideas. Of course, siblings don’t agree on everything, but even that gave them an opportunity to problem-solve and figure things out together!
The magnets are strong enough for them to create larger builds without everything constantly falling apart, and the pieces have smooth, rounded edges. While they played, they were also practicing spatial thinking, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving. I love a toy that gets them thinking without them even realizing they’re learning.
Busy Board for Toddlers
The Busy Board for Toddlers has officially become my toddler’s new favorite toy. He wants to take it everywhere, which I don’t mind because it’s lightweight and easy to throw into a backpack or bag when we’re heading out.
It has 8 pages with 26 different learning activities covering things like letters, numbers, shapes, colors, weather, animals, matching, and even simple dressing skills. I love watching him figure things out little by little. Something he couldn’t quite understand the first time becomes easier after he practices it, and you can see how proud he is when he gets it.
It has also been great for those real-life moments when I need something to keep him occupied. Whether we’re in the car, waiting somewhere, visiting family, or I simply need him entertained at home for a little while, he has something he can actually interact with instead of watching a screen.
The soft felt, smooth edges, and little hands-on activities make it comfortable for him to use, and I’ve already noticed how much it encourages him to slow down, focus, and explore. Most importantly, he genuinely enjoys it, which makes the learning part feel completely natural.
Overall, these Swevva toys reminded me that kids really don’t need a screen in front of them to stay entertained. Sometimes they just need the right activity to spark their imagination. I loved seeing each of my kids find something they enjoyed, but what made it even more special was seeing all of them come together, help one another, laugh, create, and bond as siblings. Those are the kinds of moments I want more of in our home.
A Fun Way to Unwind After School
Back-to-school season can be a big adjustment for kids, especially after a long summer. That’s why I think Swevva toys would make such a great back-to-school gift. After spending all day following schedules, learning, and staying focused, kids deserve a chance to come home, relax, and simply play.
I love that Swevva gives them that break while still encouraging them to create, imagine, build, and learn new things along the way.
