11 Audacious and Creative Halloween Party Ideas

August 21, 2013 by Pam Maynard

As the Summer starts drawing down, and Fall draws closer, many people will naturally start thinking of the next “holiday” coming up – Halloween. That’s right, Halloween is really the next holiday people will be celebrating and you can see it in the stores already. Some of the bigger name stores are actually already putting up their candy and spooky displays. As adults though, going to Halloween parties isn’t about the candy. It’s more of a great way to show off your creative spirit and socialize with friends.

Here we’re detailing eleven of our favorite audacious and creative Halloween ideas. You might want to look through these to draw some inspiration for your own costume.

Catgirl

Any party you go to, there is bound to be a Batman or some other hunky superhero. Play the part of the daring heroine. There are so many different possibilities with this model and all of them are sexy, without being “naughty.”  You can go with a professional costume or easily try it out for yourself, as it’s a fairly easy DIY costume that you can easily make alterations to. Just make sure you have some black ears and a tail!

Playboy Bunny

This style is sure to raise a lot of eyebrows and turn a few heads, since it’s likely to be a little risqué.  You can opt for a more reserved outfit and go with a more 1960’s bunny outfit or get a little wild with a more modern spin on the costume. Either way this will definitely be a sexy Halloween costume.

Robot

You may not have traditionally thought of this as creative, but you could put some new twists on this.  Try combining a robot costume with one of these other choices.  You could cross a robot costume with a Playboy bunny to create a fun Austin Power’s style “fembots” costume.

Soldier

Many people out there have families in the military, so this could be a good way to show your appreciation for their service and have a fun costume that gives you an excuse to paint up your face.  Try out a few different options, but this one might be best kept buttoned up and proper.

Body paint

This one has an almost unlimited amount of possibilities.  Some people have painted themselves up as trees or animals.  You could also choose to make this one more elaborate with other add-ons. If you really want audacious, check out some of the body painted swimsuit models for even more “revealing” ideas.

Album Art

This is a natural continuation of the body paint idea.  You could paint your body to resemble the cover art for one of your all-time favorite albums.  You may want to pick an iconic album like Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, which everyone will understand.

Sushi

Fans of sushi may want to express their love for the delicacy by making it into a Halloween costume.  The great thing is that it can actually help a whole group of people decide on an outfit, since there are so many components to sushi each person can dress as a different aspect.

Angel

This is a classic, but that doesn’t have to stop you from making it creative. Dress up as a heavenly being and portray your innocent side or play the cherub Cupid. You don’t have to spend lots of money on this one and you could probably even make your own home made wings out of some simple fabrics around your house.

Devil

Well we have angels, and no list would be complete without this option.  There may not be a better costume that encapsulates the Halloween spirit quite like a Devil costume.  It is also a great way to unleash your wicked side at the party, what’s better than a sexy demon costume? On Halloween, not much…

These are just a few of the many options and ideas you can go with this year for Halloween parties you’ll be attending. Whatever you do, use your imagination and the night will certainly be a fun event!
