Once your Christmas Candy train is complete, you can display it proudly on your mantel, tabletop, or Christmas tree. Supplies You’ll Need:

Christmas Candy Train

  • Life Savers Candy Roll
  • Two packages of Smarties candy
  • 4 peppermints
  • 1 Hershey Kiss
  • 2 Mini Candy Bars
  • Hot glue gun and glue stick
  • Paper plate

Let’s Get Crafty!

  1. Lay the Track: Start by lining up your two packages of Smarties. These will be the tracks for your candy train. Christmas Candy Train
  2. Add the Engine: Next, place a strip of hot glue on each side of the Smarties and carefully place the Life Savers candy roll on top. This will be the engine of your train. Christmas Candy Train
  3. Add the Wheels: Use a dot of hot glue to attach the peppermints to the sides of the Smarties, creating the wheels of the train. Christmas Candy Train
  4. Top it Off: Finally, use a dot of hot glue to attach the Hershey Kiss to the front of the train as the conductor. Christmas Candy Train
  5. Attach the Caboose: Use a dot of hot glue to secure the two mini candy bars to the back of the train. These will be the caboose. Christmas Candy Train

Tips for a Smooth Ride:

  • Adult Supervision: While this craft is fun for kids, adult supervision is recommended when using a hot glue gun.
  • Creative Freedom: Don’t be afraid to get creative! You can use different candies, colors, and shapes to create unique candy  trains.

Make a Christmas Candy Train

Total Time: 10 minutes
Difficulty: easy

This is a fun craft to make this holiday season with your kids! These Christmas Candy Trains make great party favors, home decor, or DIY gifts!

Materials

  • Life Savers Candy Roll
  • Two packages of Smarties candy
  • 4 peppermints
  • 1 Hershey Kiss
  • 2 Mini Candy Bars
  • Hot glue gun and glue stick
  • Paper plate

Instructions

Line up two packages of Smarties. Place a strip of hot glue on each side, then set the Lifesavers pack on top and hold until secure.

Use a dot of hot glue to secure the peppermints to the sides of the Smarties and Lifesavers.

Use a dot of hot glue to secure the Hershey kiss to the top of the train in the front.

In the back, use hot glue to secure the mini candy bars on top of each other.

Display or give as a holiday treat/party favor this year!
