From the Author Cheryl Bloser:
This book came to life because of my grandchildren. Storytelling has been a part of how we connect and have fun! Writing this story was a natural result of creating characters together. Little Mouse and the Muddy Feet is the first to go into print. These two friends have additional adventures that will be forthcoming. I hope you enjoy this one and come back to follow the stories to come!

Mom Does Reviews‘ Review:
Little Mouse and Flying Pig enjoy playing together. They have a “typical’ friend relationship- they love to do fun things together, they stick around when one of them gets grumpy and they aren’t sure what to do when one is in trouble. I love stories about friendship, as friendships help children thrive and develop their personality in a positive way. In Little Mouse, Flying Pig wants Little Mouse to fly his kite with him. I remember those days with my friend! Flying kites is NOT as easy as it looks. I can see how Little Mouse could get cranky when the kite wouldn’t fly no matter how hard they tried. When Little Mouse stomped through the mud puddle, I knew that Flying Pig was already thinking of what he could do to help his friend. Just like kids at that age, Flying Pig wasn’t quite sure what to do to help his friend. When Little Mouse made muddy prints all the way through the just cleaned kitchen floor, Flying Pig snuck out of the house but he didn’t leave. Daddy and Mommy Mouse knew exactly what to do to change Little Mouse’s grumpiness around. First, he had to mop up his mess. I know the whole time he had to have been thinking about what he did. Then he apologized to his mom. Lastly, a snack was shared and Daddy Mouse helped them fly the kite. Throughout the whole kitchen clean up, Flying Pig stood by and waited for his friend. The boys found out that Daddy was going to help them fly the kite after all.
I loved how Flying Pig didn’t give up on his friend. He knew his friend was grumpy and he didn’t just give up and go home. He even stayed around and waited for Little Mouse to clean up his mess. Having a friend that loves you no matter what your mood is so good for your self-esteem. Friendships like those are like Flying Pig, they tend to stick around!
I also liked how Cheryl incorporated healthy snacks into the story. Usually moms bring out cookies and milk. Mommy Mouse brought out cheese and apple slices.
The author made the book a bug scavenger hunt too! If you look close, you will find ants, lady bugs, butterflies and more. How fun is that!
Mom Does Reviews gives Little Mouse and the Muddy Feet 2 thumbs up. I highly recommend Little Mouse to children ages 3 to 8. My son got to read this book to his 6 year old book buddy at school and it was a big hit!
