One of the big milestones for little ones is when they start daycare or school. Getting everything your child needs can get overwhelming. And then, there are the things you WANT to get them. Urban Infant has designed their gear to be both. I’ve found the cutest and most useful gear for my granddaughter to start daycare.

There are certain things that our kids will need when they go to school: A Lunchbox, A Nap Mat, and a Backpack. The Preschool/Daycare Trio includes the Nap Mat, Lunchbox, and Backpack. The Nap Mat blew my mind with the attention to detail. The Lunchbox comes complete with allergy cards. The Backpack has cushioned straps and a water bottle holder.
Tot Cot
I want to tell you about the Tot Cot Daycare/Preschool Nap Mat. The quilted mat was designed to fit on daycare/preschool standard nap cots, but it can also be used on the floor or a bed like a sleeping bag. It’s lightweight and durable, has elastic bands to secure on the cots, and has an included pillow (that’s removable), a sewn-in fleece blanket, and a secret pocket to hold a child’s lovey or stuffy.
Packie Backpack
The second part of the trio is the Packie Daycare/Preschool Backpack. This backpack has cushioned straps, a water bottle holder, and an art silo to bring home your child’s art creations or letters from the teacher. The zipper is chunky which is great for little hands. A roomy backpack body holds anything from toys to a change of clothes. But, the best part, there is a hidden clip to attach the Yummie Lunch Bag.
Yummie Lunch Bag
Every child needs a cool lunchbox. The Yummie Lunch Bag is designed to fit most reusable lunch containers, has a clear outer pocket that holds Food Allergy Alert Cards (included), and has pockets for ice packs. Like it was mentioned earlier, it is designed to clip onto Urban Infant’s Packie Back Pack. No more leaving lunch boxes in the car, on the countertop, or at school.
Each of the pieces in the Preschool Trio comes in many different designs ranging from flowers to submarines. They also can be personalized with your child’s name, nickname, or monogram. My granddaughter has her nickname on all three pieces so that there is no question who those belong to.
Little Helper Apron
Urban Infant doesn’t only sell school gear. My husband is a chef. It’s a trait he’s passed down to our kids. My son is now passing those skills along to my granddaughter. She loves to be in the kitchen when we are cooking, so it’s only natural that I get her a personalized apron.
The Little Helper Apron is too cute. It has an adjustable neck strap, a center pocket for all her cooking tools, comes in 11 different patterns, and has a tie that goes around her waist. The small size fits her perfectly (she’s two). I even have it hanging in our kitchen so that she can grab it herself.
My Thoughts on Urban Infant
Anytime I can spoil my little granddaughter, I do it. She lights up my day. Urban Infant just gave me another reason to spoil her a little more. Her mama was so excited to see these pieces because she needed them for daycare. I love that Urban Infant allowed me to get all three essentials from one company, all the same design, and it’s a quality product. I will definitely be using them again when she starts Kindergarten in a few years.
