FAQs:

  • Can I make this salad ahead of time? Yes! The salad can be assembled up to a day in advance. Just wait to add the dressing until right before serving to prevent the lettuce from wilting.
  • Do I have to use mayonnaise? If you’re looking for a lighter option, you can substitute Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise.
  • What kind of cheese should I use? Sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese are classic choices, but feel free to experiment with other shredded cheeses you enjoy.
