My Review:
In the words on my son- “I LOVE it! It’s cool. I learn stuff just by reading one page!”
The book is awesome, as all Nat Geo Kids books always are. The new and different part of this book that encourages kids to explore, create, and learn is the app- the National Geographic Kids Scanner! See the screen shots below. Kids get free videos, games, quizzes, photo galleries, and more with the National Geographic Kids scanner! This digital companion to National Geographic Kids books and magazines allows you to get free digital extras on your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Just look for the Digital Extras! symbol in NG Kids publications, scan, and let the fun begin!
• Watch awesome animal videos!
• Find out amazing facts!
• Play fun trivia games.
• And so much more!
I love that we can even find crafts to make with upcycled materials! How awesome is that!
We LOVE the 2014 Almanac. Just reading one page opens up a whole new world to explore. This is going to be a great book for my son’s summer reading list. One page can spark his imagination to create something, either with words in a story or with materials like LEGOS or craft materials.
I highly recommend National Geographic Kids Almanac 2014 ! We give it 4 thumbs up- 2 from me and 2 from Justin!
