Classic Games
I wanted to get a nice selection of classic games to bring to my family and friends. I found some great nostalgic games, upgraded classics, and some new games that will be a huge hit. When I was looking at the Winning Moves website, I realized that a lot of the classic games we love like Clue and Scattergories also have card game versions. It made me smile and excited at the same time.
Sometimes, you wanna play a classic game but you may not want to pull out the board, the pieces, and money. That is why the card game version of classic games is so much fun. I found Scrabble Slam, Scattergories, and Clue in card game form. Winning Moves also offers other card games such as Monopoly, Rook, and Canasta Caliente.
Classics with a Twist
I also discovered that some games have been mixed with other classics. For example, Monopoly and Scrabble have come together in a new game. How does that work, you ask? It’s super fun. Instead of rolling dice to move spaces, you build a word and your score determines the number of spaces you advance. How creative is that?!
Have you ever seen Clue Master Detective? The classic Clue board game is different. The game board layout is different, there are more weapons and suspects, and there are more rooms to investigate. I love the new rooms such as the courtyard and trophy room. Perfect for little detectives ages 10 and older.
Game of the States
A new game that I was introduced to is Game of the States. This board game is great for any child 8 years old and up.
Kids learn all about the United States by racing their trucks across country buying and selling goods along the way. Players will become familiar with the fifty states, their locations, capital cities, top products and learn interesting STEM facts about each state!
I love this game because it not only teaches kids (and some adults) interesting facts about the United States, but it is also fun. I could spend hours just reading the fact cards that come with it.
My Thoughts on Winning Moves Games
I will always have board games in my house. It’s ingrained in my DNA. Pulling out the boards, and setting up the games, it’s all part of the fun. Winning Moves Games has made finding and buying the classic board games I grew up with so easy. They also introduced me to classic games with a twist and some pretty great new games.
