Tumbling Tower Penguin Craft Instructions:

STEP 1

Gather all materials and then remove the packaging and labels. Line up two rows of six tumbling tower wooden blocks. Attach the first six wooden blocks with a glue gun and glue sticks, then repeat with the second six wooden blocks.

Glue the two large rectangles of wooden blocks together.

TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you would have to wait for it to dry.

STEP 2

Draw a large oval with two bumps at the top with a pencil. Basecoat this shape with white acrylic craft paint. Paint the rest of the penguin with black acrylic craft paint. Let the paint dry between coats and then apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP 3

Download, print and cut out the PENGUIN PATTERNS. Cut a triangle beak and two feet from orange craft felt.

Attach two wiggle eyes, the beak and two feet with a glue gun and glue sticks.

TIP: Orange craft foam, or cardstock would also work for this project, use what you have on hand.

STEP 4

Cut out the penguin hat pattern from lagoon blue craft felt with scissors.

Attach the hat around the top of the penguin with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP 5

Carefully gather to the top of the penguin’s hat, and secure by wrapping and twisting a chenille stem around the felt. Trim any long ends with scissors.

STEP 6

Add polka dot cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser into pink acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry. Draw a smile from cheek to cheek with a permanent black marker.

STEP 7

Remove the shank (or loop) from the back of a snowflake button with scissors.

Attach the button to the penguin’s hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.
