Some of our favorite ways to make back to school easier with Mabel’s Labels
Large Rectangle Labels
Rectangle Labels are strong and waterproof. You can design them with fun pictures and stick them on things like lunch boxes, bottles, sippy cups, and sports equipment to help your kids not lose them. This size of labels is the best way to keep track of items that usually get lost.
Daycare Label Pack
The Daycare Label Pack has won awards for being the best way to stay organized. It is perfect for labeling baby bottles, sippy cups, bibs, soothers, clothes, shoes and more. Make sure your baby’s stuff doesn’t get mixed up or lost by using these labels. They are waterproof and safe for the dishwasher and laundry!
Custom Clothing Stamp
The Custom Clothing Stamp is a great way to label your kids’ clothes. Perfect for socks, swimsuits, towels and t-shirts. The stamp is small enough to carry with you. And it comes with ink that won’t wash away after 40 washes. Put your kid’s name on the stamp, press it onto the fabric and don’t worry about lost items anymore!
My Thoughts
While the kids are still enjoying those fun, long summer days, going back to school will be here sooner than you think! One of the biggest challenges when our kids, especially the younger crew, go back to school is keeping track of their supplies. It’s not so much of a worry with my older kids, though I’ll tell you they personalize in their own style still! But when it comes to younger children, I have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve. And one of the best ways to make back to school easier with Mabel’s Labels is to use them on (nearly) everything!
Start with choosing a bag in a unique style or pattern that stands out. If your child can easily visually identify their bag, they can grab it and go without having to search through five other bags just like it. Another trick is to pick a color for each child so when homework is spread all over the table, they can easily sort them based on their color. Try adding a piece of washi tape to their pencils, pens, and other supplies. This is another quick visual way to sort their supplies if they get mixed up or borrowed.
So how do I use Mabel’s Labels?
There are ways to do this for even our youngest kids who are in daycare or preschool, where it’s not so much about notebooks and pencils. But clothes, diaper bags, lunch boxes, and more! For example, use a personalized clothing stamp on their clothes, towels, socks, etc. It’s simple and easy to use, plus you can carry it with you on the go. I love it because it doesn’t wash out or off, and I picked exactly how I wanted my child’s name to appear down to the font we wanted. This also works great on baby dolls and soft-sided toys!
So how do we handle keeping track of their sippy cups, lunch boxes, and even shoes? That’s where I’ve found that the large rectangle labels work nicely. It includes a colored label with a fun image/icon and your child’s name, and you apply it just like a sticker. I’ve found that these last through multiple dishwasher cycles so I don’t have to keep replacing them. And this also means that they don’t just lose their adhesive and randomly fall off at daycare or preschool.
Another great option when it comes to the personal items at daycare are these daycare labels. They come in a pack of 54 so you have plenty to make sure everything is labeled. This is a quick and easy way for the care providers to keep those spoons, shoes, and other items separated at a glance! The color and picture choices are too cute and since it includes the child’s name, sorting and sending home with the right child is a snap. Plus these are all microwave and dishwasher safe, making them perfect for silverware, cups, and other utensils.
