My Thoughts
When it comes to dressing our little ones every day, it can be quite an adventure. One trick I learned early on is to help myself by offering my child some choices and let them decide what they want to wear. I do this by picking several pieces that I think are appropriate for the weather, that day’s activities, etc. So no matter if they go with THIS shirt or THAT one, I’m okay with either choice since I set them up! Now, some days? It’s still a free for all, and as long as they have clothes on at all, I’m a happy Mama. So being able to mix and match absolutely adorable pieces is a big win in my eyes. Our Little Lulu
Little Lulu is a princess in every sense of the word. She loves to play dress up, wear make-up, and enjoy all the frilly things little girls want. And while dresses and those click-clacky plastic heels are perfect for around the house? Sometimes we need something a little more appropriate for wherever we’re going. So I consider it a lifesaver that I can fill her drawers and closet with pieces from Petite Revery that she thinks are cute and colorful while I find them functional and sweet. So many times at the big stores, they offer a lot of choices, but I’m a little hesitant about some of the more “mature” designs for my little lady. This isn’t something I have to worry about when she pulls on one of the dresses or sleeveless tops from their Somewhere Over the Rainbow collection, that is full of adorable pieces!
I love that they are all colorful pieces that you can mix and match together and still make a complete outfit. The neutral color palette means her favorite shorts with a top, grab a pair of shoes and we’re out the door! I usually pack her sweater (she refuses to call it a cardigan) just in case. We have a lovely cocoa brown color which is perfect for a chilly morning start over nearly any outfit she might put together.
