Scout & Zoe’s is not a wholly owned subsidiary of an international mega corporation. We’re me. Cindy. I started this company because I love dogs, and I want them to be as healthy and happy as doggilly possible.
It all began with my dog Zoe who was terribly allergic to a number of proteins. So, I began my search for treats and food that wouldn’t irritate her skin and tummy. And as I learned more, I also discovered a number of products shipped in from overseas that were harmful to dogs. I wanted to do something about this too.
I made it my commitment to create treats that offer a diversity of proteins with human-grade ingredients produced in the United States in USDA Inspected facilities.
These treats are so safe that I eat them myself. Except the carp eyeballs…It’s a texture thing. And an eyeball thing. But dogs love ‘em. They’re loaded with protein and DHA – an omega-3 fatty acid essential for skin, eye and brain health.

I have fed my dogs other Venison products before, but they really seem to have taken a strong liking to these Venison Jerky sticks. They are soft enough for senior dogs or even dogs who have teeth concerns. My 13-year-old Maltese, Pepe, just loves them.
Kangaroo Jerky
Definitely, not your average jerky treat, our kangaroo jerky has only two ingredients…..kangaroo and a tiny bit of sea salt. The kangaroo is sustainably sourced from Australia but the jerky is made here in the USA in a USDA-inspected facility, like all of our treats. I was perplexed when I first received the Kangaroo Jerky. I wasn’t sure if the dogs would like it or even want to try it, but they were excited and quickly gobbled up their treats. I am excited to try other forms of jerky and see how much the crew loves them. Other options include Salmon, Chicken, Super Fly Black Soldier Fly, Trout Head and classic Beef Jerky.

Now, I am not going to candy coat this, I was very very skeptical about serving my baby the whole larvae treats. The other components were fine, but something about the visual of the whole larvae had me stumped. Would the babies like it? Would they turn their noses up at them? Well, they fooled me. Of all the treats we have tried from Scout and Zoe’s, the Black Soldier Fly Larvae was, hands down, their favorite.
Who was I to judge what they would and wouldn’t like, right? It’s my job to give them the best nutrition possible, and it has clearly become evident that Scout & Zoe’s products have won them over and become their favorite.
