Christina is a loyal reader of my blog and many of my blogger friends’ blogs. When I heard about her story, I knew that through the kindness of strangers and many prayers, I could help spread the word about her situation. My name is Christina Flynn. I am in need of a kidney donor due to end stage renal failure caused by having type 1 diabetes for 34 years since I was 12 years old.
I grew up in Beverly MA and moved to NH about 15 years ago. I had a kidney match that I had to pass up on due to a fall that broke my femur bone in my leg. During that time, I was in a rehab hospital and came down with a very bad infection in my foot that caused my doctor’s to cancel my transplant.
I am in need of someone that is willing to donate to a program that allows people with a donor that maybe is not a good match to trade kidneys with others in the same situation. I am currently on a national wait list which is very long. The doctors told me it would be like winning powerball to receive a match from that list before 9 years. It seems like almost everyday I am hearing about close friends passing away while on dialysis. These people are too young to go through this!
I would like to live long enough to see my grandchildren grow up to be young adults. Thank you for listening to my story.

She working with Lebanon Dartmouth-Hitchcock to try to get a match. Since their program was founded over 20 years ago,they have performed hundreds of successful kidney transplants in children and adults. They are now performing 50 or more transplants per year and are the third largest kidney transplant center in the region.
