A common pitfall that most brides fall into is packing too much activity for the wedding week that they end up being overwhelmed and forget the most important thing; packing for your wedding day!
You want to finish packing before your week of the wedding so that by the time your wedding day rolls by, everything you need is neatly placed in just the right spot and you don’t have anything to worry about.

Wedding essentials to pack
● Lotions
You should always bring lotion anywhere because your skin might get dry or dehydrated from being exposed to the elements. It’s especially important to moisturize all day long on your wedding day because remember you’ll be taking lots of high-quality photos that’ll capture everything. So make sure to bring your own high-quality lotion to the venue.
● Hairspray
Try to get the best hair spray you can get your hands on and not a strong hair spray that’ll look crispy by the end of the night. That’s because you want a hairspray that’s not going to make your hair stick, one that’s breathable but can still get your hair to hold. After all, you want your hair to look good all day and all night.

● Shapewear
Not every bride is going to want this, but if you’re going to wear a slip dress or an otherwise figure-hugging wedding dress, then shapewear is not a bad idea. Keep in mind that you’ll be taking lots of photos on our wedding day so if you’re wearing a dress that’s a slip or something that holds you in, then you should definitely consider wearing shapewear.
Also, consider investing in sweat-wicking underwear because chances are, you’re going to sweat because wedding dresses tend to be thick, especially if you have a spring or summer wedding.
● An extra pair of shoes
Every bride wants to wear their super expensive dream bridal shoes all night but things might not necessarily happen like that. By the end of the night, you might end up being uncomfortable. So make sure to bring a change of shoes such as a flat pair or something cute that you can change into at the end of the night when you just want to be comfortable.
● A steamer
Most brides forget this, but it’s important to have a hand-held steamer on your wedding day. Not just for you but for your wedding party as well. There might be a groomsman that forgot to get their suit pressed, or your veil might get a bit wrinkled while traveling to the wedding, etc. So you should always have a steamer to help keep everything looking crisp and ready.
● Blotting wipes
This is an absolute must. Blotting wipes basically absorb the oil from your skin, especially if you’re wearing makeup. All you have to do is just blot them over your face once your face starts to get sweaty or if your makeup starts to melt off from dancing and cutting the rug at your wedding. They won’t remove your makeup and will only extract oil from your face.
The catch-all box
This box should include things like your programs, ceremony decor, and a copy of your vows, as well as your marriage license which your officiant will ask for on the night of the rehearsal. Second-line umbrellas and hankies should also be packed into this box as well as any ritual items that you’ll need on rehearsal night and wedding days, such as a unity candle or a mazeltov glass.
