Don’t Underestimate Your Garage Door’s Curb Appeal

March 28, 2013 by Pam Maynard

There’s nothing worse than pulling into the driveway of a coveted must-have house and seeing a nightmare house from HGTV that is totally lacking in curb appeal.  The pictures online made it look like your dream house.  The pictures of the front of the house must have been taken 10 years ago when the bushes were perfectly manicured, shutters and trim were freshly painted and flowers brightened the front walkway.  Now the grass is non- existent, the flowers long forgotten and worst of all, the garage door is moldy, needs paint and even has a broken window.  Can you look past that horrible first impression and see the hidden potential?

One of the biggest things that affect the whole look to the front of your house are Garage Doors.  Click here to find some great design ideas, get a quote and find a dealer. At Garaga Garage Doors, shopping for that perfect door has never been easier.  Search by house type, exterior, color, product, size, window and design.  Using the Design Center, it’s easy to customize your dream house’s new garage door. The Design Center helps you visualize that hidden potential.

Why choose Garaga?  Visit their knowledge center to learn everything you need to know about what a garage door SHOULD do for your home.  Did you know that your garage door not only stops the wind, but it also keeps the cold out with a thermal bridge.  I’m sure my garage door does NOT keep the cold out!  Also, Garaga prides themselves in the brightness and beauty that keeps your curb appeal up for years.

Now that you have designed the perfect garage door for your fixer-upper, don’t forget the little things that can make your home more appealing.  Keep the lawn mowed.  Plant flowers to brighten up the walkway or put potted plants on the porch or front patio.  Be sure to trim out-of- control shrubs or tropical plants.  Don’t forget to add some fresh mulch or crushed stone around your new flowers to give it that finished look.
